Carie’s Story

“I wish there was support just like Helping Families Handle Cancer provides, when my Mom and I went through my cancer treatment. I know she struggled financially. It was a really hard time for her. I want so badly to go back in time and hug her and tell her everything will be okay. That’s a big part of what we do.”

Helping Families

Who Need it Most

We work with a network of Social Workers to identify those who need it most. All donations go to local families right out your front door – people you’ve seen in the grocery store, at work, and at the Zoo.

Every year our donors help hundreds of Alberta and Saskatchewan families struggling with the added costs of caring for their child with cancer. Donations go to practical things – reimbursing gas, groceries, and bills to pay.
