This family has a three year old boy who was diagnosed with ALL (Leukemia) in late 2012. His mother works but she will be applying for short term disability in order to support her son. The young boy was diagnosed shortly after they moved to a new town just outside of Calgary. The mother said that when her son was diagnosed, the bottom fell out of their world while it was being turned upside down. Helping Families Handle Cancer was able to assist with some finances by paying $450 towards rent and fuel expenses for the family to help them with their trips to and from the hospital.
