This family’s son was recently diagnosed with cancer and they are trying their best to make ends meet. Luckily they have a neighbour who has been babysitting their other child while they’re at the hospital with their son, but they have still had to cut back their working hours. We were able to help by paying $250 in groceries for this family. The mother is so grateful that her son is doing great now; she said the hospital and staff have done a wonderful job and that living in Canada has meant she could approach her son’s illness in a positive way, with all the support they have received.
