This young boy fought cancer and is now on a maintenance program; he will be going for doctor’s appointments regularly to be monitored, but this has left the family in a very tight position financially. Their rent cheque almost bounced due to insufficient funds, their furnace recently shut down on them and Christmas was right around the corner. Fortunately, we were given the ability to step in and assist the family, and as a result were able to pay the rent to the landlord, as well as groceries and utility bills for the entire month. The total expenses paid were just over $2,000 all in. The family is so grateful for the timing of our assistance. 25
